Howdy! My name is Jason Files and I designed this website, in part, to share my upcoming experiences living and working at Chevron in Singapore. This website also allows me to share my photography and design portfolios. I suspect that, in time, it will additionally serve as a platform for sharing thoughts, promoting ideas, and connecting with others. But, for now, a simple travel journal and portfolio will do.
About Me
I am a mechanical engineering student at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. I graduate in May 2010. I am also the founder and chief student leader of the International Engineering Association at Texas A&M.
About the Website
Powered by WordPress and built around the Hybrid theme, this website is designed to be sleek and easy to use. The minimalist appearance reflects two principles I apply to design (and other pursuits): simplicity improves usability and scarcity enhances value. Scarcity of color may seem unnatural to an artist, but it makes colorful objects, such as my photography and design projects, much more prominent. And that, my friends, is effective design!
